Life in the deep sea is like living a life of deep sleep
- a dreaming, an imagining, a fantastical seascape.
Creatures appear, haunting and ethereal, in this state
of deep sea slumber, a liquid reality. Life feels languid,
life feels precious. Just as we need deep sleep to live,
the deep ocean is a vital component of planetary life.
By working in collaboration with the Schmidt Ocean
Institute and their awe-inspiring research, Deepest
Reveries is my visual poem about the depths of the
ocean, a fantastical world beneath the surface that
captures our imagination.
