Iceland-based French photographer Kevin Pagès captured this aerial
photograph deep in the highlands of Iceland. This glacier river begins its
journey from the northwest side of Europe’s largest glacier, Vatnajökull. Kevin
remembers how “as the water 昀氀ows through the rugged and raw highlands it
shapes the river bed made of volcanic ashes and creates these amazing patterns
which are constantly changing.” He has been documenting glacier rivers in
Iceland for seven years now, going back to the same rivers over and over to see
how they change throughout the years and seasons.
